HIRE AGREEMENT

Confirmation of Booking

Your booking is confirmed once you have made the deposit payment for your hire, and completed the form below. Your booking is subject to availability on your preferred dates, as notified to us by you and confirmed within your invoice. Any orders may be cancelled at the discretion of State Of Reverie. In the event of a cancellation by us, a full refund will be made to the purchaser.

Payment

A deposit of 50% is required to secure the booking, with the balance payable prior to pick up of the items. Payments can be made via direct bank deposit or credit card. 

A security bond is not charged but rather credit card details held on file, which will be transacted if damage or loss occurs. We will advise you prior to charging your card, and provide a tax invoice for this amount.

Condition of Goods

Our collection is a combination of matching sets as well as individual pieces. Some items will show some wear due to being hired out to previous customers, however we make sure each piece is maintained to a good level of condition.

We reserve the right to substitute items should the original items ordered not be available due to circumstances beyond our control.

Hire Period

Booking is for a 5 day hire period (Thursday to Monday unless arranged by prior agreement). If hired goods are retained for a longer period without prior consent from State Of Reverie then they will be charged at the rate of 50% of the total hire price, per day.

If you wish to hire for longer than the standard hire period please request this at time of order. We always do our best to accommodate your needs, but may need to charge a fee for the extra days of hire.

Delivery and Collection

We encourage customers to collect their hired goods at the arranged time, to ensure any late collection charges are avoided.

Delivery and pick up of hired items can be arranged for an additional fee which will be determined based on the location of delivery and time of delivery/pick up. State of Reverie cannot deliver goods further than 2 hours outside of Melbourne metro areas. We also do not ship hire pieces interstate.

Breakages / Loss / Damages

Any breakages, loss or damage beyond repair of items hired will be charged to the hirer at the full replacement cost. If it is found, whilst conducting an inspection of returned items, that the items originally hired have been replaced with alternate items we reserve the right to charge the hirer a full replacement cost. The credit card details you provide us will be used to process this fee.

Replacement costs are roughly between $400 - $800 +GST each

Cable ties, signage you have ordered from us and any other stationery does not need to be returned, but if you don’t need it then feel free to give it back to us as they can be recycled.

Cleaning

All items hired will be packaged carefully and must be returned to State Of Reverie in the same way. Please DO NOT clean the items. Please place back into the packaging they were collected in and we will clean them once returned.  

Please make sure all food scraps and flowers have been removed from all surfaces of items hired before repackaging. Items must be repacked and ready to go at the agreed pickup time if these are not being returned by the hirer or additional fees may be charged.

Checking and Signing

It is very important that you check your items carefully when you receive them. No discrepancies or faults will be accepted unless notified within 8 hours of the start of the hire period.

Liability

The contract is between State Of Reverie and the hirer and should not be used by any third party unless previously authorised by State Of Reverie.

State Of Reverie accepts no responsibility for damage or injury caused to person(s) or products as a result of this hire arrangement and using any of our hire items and stationery pieces.

The hirer is responsible for the hired items from the time of collection or delivery until returned to State Of Reverie. Under no circumstances are items to be left at unattended premises.

All items remain the property of State Of Reverie.

Any person signing documents provided by us for and on behalf of the hirer hereby covenants with the owner that he/she has the authority of the hirer to make this agreement on the hirer’s behalf and is empowered by the hirer to bind the hirer to this agreement.

Cancellation

All cancellations must be made in writing by the hirer to State Of Reverie and the following charges will apply:

30 Days or more from the hire date - No charge and full deposit payment refunded.

Between 8 - 29 Days from the hire date - 50% of total order will be charged (50% deposit refunded).

Between 0-7 days from the hire date - No refunds will be given and you will be charged 100% of your total order. This is due to the fact that these goods could not be supplied to another client.

If you wish to change the dates of your hire period, this will be subject to availability and must be requested in writing to us. If your requested dates are unavailable and we are unable to fill your previously reserved dates, the above cancellation timings apply. 

Guarantee

In the event goods are returned damaged, your credit card will be charged for the full replacement cost. You agree to provide your credit card details below as guarantee, and acknowledge that your card will only be charged if goods are returned damaged or in the event of lost goods. We will notify you before processing any charges.
